UP1516, lashed up to UP1089, at the south end of the yard, next to a car filled with stacks of lumber.
Looks like this GP40-2 has had a paint job since she was a southern pacific patch job, in 2008.
This ex Cottenbelt GP60 is an old soul that I've photographed before..
6856 near the Caltrain platform. This AC4400CW is very shiny, compared to most of the other Ironhorses hanging around South San Francisco.
807, 1931 and 1530 at the north end of the yard, lashed together.
807 looks lie 40 miles of rough road. and not nearly ad pretty as the Cotton belt Roughneck 1069, who is usually parked down at this end of the yard.
The 807 started out life as a a GP30. Check out this photo from the Cajon pass in 1974. Notice the lack of vents, and welds across the top. Something horrible has happened to the 807, and I'm not sure what it is. Missing a couple of engines?
The EMD SD60 (1931) has some superficial paint smears, but seems mostly healthy
And this GP40-2, the 1530 has gotten a recent paint job. It used to sport a southern Pacific patch job, and was a regular around the bay area, in Oakland and Santa Cruz, etc. Check out this great shot coming out of the Belt railroad, taken from the Bay shore tunnel bridge, when she was sporting a red SP nose.
And the Usual line of Open Hoppers, probably scheduled for Dirty Dirt Duty at SFBelt Railroad pier, in SF.
